When we came back to the surface after exploring an abandoned quarry the sky was very clear with almost no light pollution visible. The hoist near the entrance, that was used to raise the mining carts from the quarry, was the best foreground I could find to shoot some startrails. 70 shots @ F4, 30 sec, Iso 800.

Yet another shot from the Belgian coast with my Cokin Filter set. For this shot I used a gradual ND filter combined with a Gradual Tobacco filter to make the sky more intresting.

This shot was taken in Knokke (Belgium). When the clouds stole the most beautiful light of the day, I decided it was a good time to use my cokin filter set. Apart from adding some extra detail and contrast, this shot is straight out of camera. A combination of 3 filters was used: A gradual ND filter to add some detail in the sky + a gradual tobacco filter for the warm colored sky + a regular ND filter allowing me to use longer exposure times.

Our initial goal was to shoot a startrail at the castle of Horst, but because it was being restaurated, we choose this beautifull scene a few 100m further. 142 shots @ F4.0, 30sec, Iso 800

In my archive I found this unprocessed shot from my last visit to London in November 2011. The building in the center is called the shard and was still under construction during my visit. By now it should be finished in a few weeks. This shot was taken on top of a construction crane.
