After more then three years of good service, my trusty Nikon D80 got broken.
Since a few months I've had troubles attaching the camera to a tripod. The screw thread on the body got forced and I was unable to attach it properly. With the help of some DIY tools I was able to temporary fix the problems, but that only worked for a few weeks. So we brought the camera to Nikon Belgium where they told me reparation would cost about 250€ since they had to replace the whole bottem part of the camera..
Needless I was shocked. After some serious thinking, I decided it was not worth spending that much money on a 3.5 year old body with so many clicks.. But then again, being unable to photograph on tripod is a living hell for me. So there was no other option to buy a new camera a few months earlier as planned.
