About Me
I'm a self–taught photographer who was born and raised in Diest, a small town in Belgium. My interest in photography started in 2007 a few months before I bought my first DSLR. Instantly a whole new world opened for me. During the first weeks I took my camera frequently to the abandoned slaughterhouse nearby my home in order to experiment with it in all silence whilst being covered from the rain outside. This is where my love for abandoned places started. Many abandoned locations later, I found the entrance of an underground limestone quarry. My first underground visit made such a big impression on me that I instantly gained a new hobby. Since then I tend to find myself about 1-3 times a week underground. During the first year I purely went there to explore and rarely brought my camera with me, but later I started to experiment with different lighting methods.
Besides my love and urge to visit abandoned (preferably dark) places, I also developped a passion for night photography, cityscapes and architecture.
